Hello, Fresh Arts friends and supporters,
The Fresh Arts team is excited to share a sneak peek of what’s in store for 2024! From a new Houston artist advice blog to “Artie” the ADHou art car, we’re mixing things up this year to engage with more artists and art lovers.
But before we do, we invite you to take a quick look back at all we accomplished in 2023 with the support of our donors, funders, board members, artist advisory committee, workshop facilitators, artist presenters, volunteers, and our small but dedicated staff.
Fresh Arts 2023 Highlights:
- Over $236k paid directly to Houston artists through honoraria, contract services, and project-based fiscal sponsorship (over 37% of our operating budget)
- $11,285 raised for the Winter Street Studios’ Fire Relief Fund for impacted artists
- 2,500+ artists and art lovers reached through Artist Talks, Residency events, and Arts District Houston initiatives.
