ART OF COLOR MURAL FEST

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Painting with sustainability in mind.

Art of Color Mural Fest is an environmentally sustainable mural festival using innovative CO2 absorbing paint. Driven by climate change, philanthropy, and inspiring community engagement with creative work by local, diverse muralists of varying ethnicities.

Through a partnership with NASA engineer, Tanya K. Rogers, Ph.D., + co-founders Slade Ham and Rawand Rasheed of the woman owned, Houston-based small business, The People’s CO2, we aim to change the narrative of fighting climate change through the arts with patent-pending CO2 absorbing paint. The paint will not only capture its weight, gram for gram of CO2, but eventually empower people to take action into their own hands at an individual level.

Art of Color has chosen 6 muralists to highlight the event October 21st, 2023 and give other opportunities to a variety of arts, including musicians, performers and vendors who wish to promote their work.

The goal of this mural festival is to inspire communities with eloquently crafted works of art keeping climate awareness at the forefront and enabling easy access to participate in aiding our local air quality.

Donations to support our project will fund festival expenses, artists payment, operational costs, and promotional materials.

Hosted by Eureka Heights Brew Co, 941 W 18th St, Houston, Texas 77008
